WIP: Painting GW Stuffs - Part 03

Hi guys.
Hope all of you are well.

Here it seems that the second wave of Covid is start hitting back. There are increase in the cases in the last few days. Please please take care and be careful while doing your chores okay. Follow the guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment.

Okay, safety announcement done.
So lets update (yeaaaaa!!!)

As per last update, I have assembled my Ossiarch Bonereapers minis. I have primed all and now started to paint them. Unfortunately the progress is very slow.

So I only managed to complete 1 model only; the Morghast.

...and the balance 3 will proceed soon.

On another note, my board / card game order have arrived (yeaaaaaaaa!!!!)
This time I purchased Azul boardgame with 2 player game mat and Dungeon Mayhem cardgame.
Without wasting time, me and the wifey tried the boardgame and IT WAS FUN!!!

The game mechanic is simple yet engaging. You need to plan which tiles to use and to which row you want to lay the tiles.
The wife really enjoys this game and I can see that we will  be playing it more in the future.
As for the Dungeon Mayhem, we will play it later.

So that is for now.
Aidiladha holiday is nearing and a lot of stuff need to be done.
I will do update once I complete the other Morghast painted.

Until then.
Take care guys.

WIP : Painting GW Stuffs - Part 02

Heya guys,

Soo...just a quick entry.
After the paint test previously done, I continue building the rest of Ossiarch Bonereaper stuffs.

Not much photos as this is just straight up build and basing before splashing some basecoat.
As usual, real life is in the way on slowing down the hobbying aspect BUT I WILL PREVAIL!!!!!

End of rant.

See you guys later.
Stay safe.

WIP : Painting GW Stuffs - Part 01

Hi Gents.

Continuing the spirit of hobbying post-MCO, Since I've painted some GW stuffs previously before the lockdown on March, I decided to resume my painting work despite having low count of usable paint.

So, these are the minis painted pre-MCO; a Stormcast, an Orruk Megaboss & an Ogor Tyrant.

and this is what I resumed.

The Ossiarch Bonereaper & Ogor minis are from Feast of Bones boxset I purchased last year. My intention for these boxset apart from trying my hands on Age of Sigmar games, I want to use these minis for RPG. As all knows, GW have great collection of awesome looking minis especially AoS range and fitting for RPG plays...hence the collection starts. Hopefully if my wallets allowed, I want to have a good range of minis to prepare for that.

So, after few days painting, some of the minis are done. I took the Petrified Elite paint scheme and adjusted to whatever paint I have left to get as close as possible to the scheme. So you can see in the future some repeating color scheme across my minis due to my limited paint collection.

After this I will be continuing this range to complete my Feast of Bones stuffs before moving to other GW stuffs. So much to paint :)

Until then.
Cheers.

MCO Activities Recap

Hi guys.

Back to the work desk 😓
Started my work on 1st June as the government loosen up their CMCO restriction for some businesses. The bosses are dying to get the operation up & running again (we also feels the same).

Anyway, for 75 days of MCO from 18 March till 31st May, it was a well spent time for me personally. I got to spent my best bonding time with my kids, gave all my attention to the wife, having time to de-clutter my home, and obviously immersed myself in my hobby stuffs.

So, achievement during the lockdown:

1) Made myself a gaming table
2) Played some games (tabletop & board game)
3) Clearing backlog...well almost all

Not a big achievement if compared to other people, they sure did wayyyyyyy better than me. But still proud at myself for managed to get things done during the isolation period. Playing games are definitely the best part, not only I finally can quenched my dice rolling craving, but managed to made my wife appreciate all the "junks" (that's what she called them) that I have been stashing for a long time. To be able to see her enjoys beating her husband in board games sure made all of these worthwhile.

As a recap, these are the kits I've managed to build:

1) Gundam - HG BF Hi-Mock
2) Gundam - HG IBO Hyakuren
3) Gundam - HG-OO GN-X
4) Gundam - HG-OO GN-X III ESF Type
5) Gundam - HG-OO Exia
6) Gundam - HG IBO Barbatos Lupus Rex
7) LBX - Pandora
8) LBX - Nemesis

Hope I can keep the momentum and spirit going after this.
It is already in a good pace, and I really hope I can squeeze in my hobby time as the work have taken over my life again.
We'll see how things fare out in the future.
It is my 2020's resolution to keep my hobby alive.

Ending of my useless rant now.
Until next time guys.
Stay safe.

MCO Activities Update - 06

Hi guys,

It is not late for me to wish all my Muslim friends Salam Eid Mubarak, and Happy Holidays to all of you. Wishing all of us are in good health and staying strong during the pandemic situation.

Another hobbying update during the lockdown.

Playing games

Played another game last night using the solo rules. This time it was 75 points with German (myself) vs Soviet (AI).

German List
Tiger I + Precise Commander + Clever Hans
Panther + Precise Loader

Soviet List
IS-2 + Superb Commander + No Retreat
SU-100 + Vasily Krysov

German List

Soviet List

Battle location & initial positioning
The game was fun. The first 2 turns was a chase game as both side manoeuvring around for cover. No shot was fired until turn 3, but only start made some damages on turn 4. The IS-2 went down on turn 6 after Tiger I & Panther made a pincer attack from front and rear side of the tank, and got Lucky Hit at the end. The SU-100 was destroyed after a few hits by Tiger I & Panther and received Engine Fire critical damage when left with 1 HP. It was destroyed immediately although passed the Repair Phase. Both Tiger I & Panther left banged up but alive.

Here's are some photo's of the game:

It’s a good game playing with the AI system. I will try another game using 100 points later.

Clearing more backlog

As there are still more time before June, I went ahead and got working with another backlog set; the LBX's - Pandora & Nemesis.

So I've cleared yet another set of backlog kits. Now left with some odd kits & GW stuffs. Maybe need to find another time like this to get motivated to clear them.

Well then, see you guys later.
Stay safe :)

MCO Activities Update - 05

Hi guys.

Just a quick update on hobbying activities during the lockdown.

Clearing more backlog

So this time around I managed to built my final Gundam backlogs.
These are Exia & Barbatos Lupus Rex.

Exia done

Barbatos Lupus Rex done
So now I have cleared another backlog pile. WOOOHOOOO!!!!! (for now of course)
Can start purchasing more ;)

I am left with some LBX's kits, odd kits and finally GW stuffs.
The GW stuffs will be the last ones to be tackled as it involves painting, and my paint stock have dried & depleted. Need to replenish back before start to paint anything.

FYI, the gov now have loosen up the MCO to Conditional MCO (CMCO) by allowing businesses & industries to start again, my Management have decided to start resuming operation back on 1st June.

As my leisure time now officially shortened, I just have to make due as much as I can.

Until next time.
Stay safe.
