Hobbying in June

 Hi Guys.

Hope all of you are healthy.

The Covid cases in my area now is going rampant again. Numbers are fluctuating everyday, and we are still under FMCO. Please please please stay healthy, wear masks, use hand sanitizer, keep maintaining physical distancing throughout the period.

1) Making DIY Spraying Booth

This month I spent my time making myself a portable spray booth. As I'm living in a terrace housing area, I do not have much space to do work outside, especially spraying as the fumes will spread everywhere. And also I am much depends on the weather to cure the spray. So I made one.

Forgot to take the final photo of the spray booth čśô

2) Playing boardgame

Early this month I managed to acquire a second hand boardgame Potion Explosion. I have being eyeing this boardgame for quite some tiem and finally able to get it. The play game is simple yet exciting. The best thing is this boardgame can be played with kids.

3) Painting Minis

As I have made myself a spray booth, I decided to paint the Warhammer Underworlds minis. I started with the Drepur's Wraithcreepers warband.

After this will continue with the Stormcast warband.

That's all for now.

Stay safe guys.

Gaming in May

 Hi guys,

Hope all you are in good health.

The Covid cases in our place are increasing and we are now in Enhanced MCO for two weeks. Hopefully this can make the numbers going down. So guys, please adhere to SOP, always always wear mask when outside, use hand sanitiser, keep clean and stay safe.

So with all of us spending most our time indoors, these are the activities done in this month:

1) Building plamo

As my eldest son already built his first just a matter of time for him to asked for a second ones. So this month he built another one, a SD Zaku.

2) Board gaming...and tabletop gaming also

This month we played several games, with emphasising to Warhammer Underworlds. It is a nice quick game where you can pit your warband with your opponent to get the most glory point. It is really a nice change for my wife as she used to play board games and now playing another tabletop game.

As usual, the boys cannot resist the temptation of throwing and rolling dice....and crashing their parent game date night.

Aside from WH Underworlds, we also played:

- King of Tokyo

- Train to Ride

- Dungeon Mayhem

- Uno

- Tokaido

We will try to get more play time for other board game and definitely will squeezed in some tabletop game in between.

So, until then.

Stay safe guys.

Hobbies in April

 Hi guys.

We meet again.

Currently the Covid situation here is becoming grim. Cases are spiking up left & right. Terrible way to celebrate the holiday season here.

So as the usual drill....keep social distancing, wear your mask, use the sanitizer, and always keep clean.

1) Plamo building

The first thing we've done in this month was my kid finally built his first plamo. I have a few collection of beginner sets kept for "future work" since he asked me if he can build one, of course I'll let him built one. The wife then joined in and the youngest kid also want to try. So I let them built. Of course the youngest one got my "assistance' to built his plamo.

My second son....well, he doesn't not have interest in this...yet.

2) Board gaming

This month I managed to squeeze in some time for playing games. We played Takenoko & Fruit Spy with my eldest son.

I purchased a boardgame (more like educational activity game) for the kids online. It is called Dr. Eureka but its in China languange. Not sure if it is a ripped off of an original game or not. The games it to arrange the "chemical balls" as per the card given using only the plastic tubes. My kids really having a blast playing this games. It is straight forward yet need to think how to re-arrange the balls. I really recommend this for your kids.

Unfortunately these few months I am quite busy with my work. My factory are perfroming test runs to all of the machineries before our full operation commissioing by end May. After that some finetuning work on the production line until stabilize....then only I will have my free time like previous.

So, until then.

Stay safe guys.

Hobbies in March

 Hi guys.

Hope you all are in great condition.

Here in my place the situation is getting better. With RMCO in place, the Covid numbers is steadily decreasing, giving us much hope.

However, the battle is yet to end. Be vigilant, always keep clean, maintain your social distancing and wear mask outdoor. Keep safe.

So, I'm still kind of busy with the real life stuff. As my workplace have been relocated to new premise, we have our hands full to setting up production line, so not much free time as previously.

Nevertheless, this month I have received my purchase, that is a neoprene playmat & Takenoko boardgame. I've purchased the playmat for quite sometime before but due to the MCO restriction, the seller can only deliver to me in these past weeks. About the Takenoko, I won a bidding online for a BNIS defect set...which is pretty minor to me. I managed to get it at a cheaper price due to the defect.

So like any other tabletop gamer do, I immediately done a initiation ritual on the newly bought playmat (wink wink). I set up a 50points TANK game for me, my wife and son to play. The battle was in a forest fought between US (wifey), Soviet (son) and German (me). Just a casual game between family members (another wink wink). I won after being assaulted left right by the wife & son. German won!!!

The neoprene playmat is awesome to have. Not only it eliminate the tumbling sound when the dice rolled on the table, the surface is soft and nice contrast to the hard wood texture of the table body. It also make the table 'pop' more and feels expensive. Worth every penny spent on the purchase. I'm looking forward to play more using the playmat.

Bonus photos: 2 of my kids spending time playing with dice and Marvel United minis while their parent and older brother kicks butt.

That's all for now.

Until then.

Stay safe everyone.
