Throwdown Pt.4 - HQ

This time the Throwdown category was the HQ slot. I was planning & was really lucky to be able to complete the HQ complete with the Command Squad. Yaaaayyyyyy!!!!! :)

It was madness...I really struggled to complete them & even almost give up at one time...but the reward pays off. Mine was voted as 2nd place in the week entries, although shared the seat with 2 more guys...but it worth the painful effort to paint them. Thanks for the vote guys ;)

The entries of the night..all of them are amazingly beautiful, even for a single character.

 

 

 

Next slot will be Heavy Support...& I'll be doing just a Land Raider Crusader for this entry ;)

Throwdown Pt.3 - Elites

Yup, last week Legio Throwdown was Elite slot...& luckily I managed to complete the bare minimum requirement of the entry. My initial plan was to send Terminator Assault Squad with a Venerable Dreadnought....unfortunately due to long holidays, I only managed to complete the termis. Lazy me :(

 Nevertheless...although not many entries were presented that night, but the standard of painting work was really really good. All the models were beautifully painted :)

The next Throwdown slot will be HQ...I'm planning to send the Emperor's Champion, Marshall, Chaplain & the Command Squad as my entry. The EC & Chaplain will be kitbashed & converted from various bits as I'm unable to get them in time for the throwdown.

Throwdown - Troops Pt.2

Last Friday was the 2nd Throwdown & the category was 2nd troops. So, this time I've managed to complete 8 strong men (Astrates, I mean....including 3 Neophytes) for that day.

Like previous entry, there were a lot of good looking painted miniatures presented on that day. Below some of the entries I've managed to take picture of.

Next 2 week the category for the Throwdown will be Elite. I'm planning to send 5 terminators & hopefully a Dreadnought (or Venerable...not sure yet) once I manage to get one hehehehe

January Update

Well....nothing much happens, except been frantically assembling & painting my 1st troop of Black Templars for Legio Malaysia Throwdown....which held last week. Initially the plan was to have 5 Initiates & 3 Neophytes, but in the end I only managed to complete the Initiates :(.

However, they turned out quite well & I even managed to prepared a display base for the troops, thanks to endless persuasion by Khairul & Rizal. So, below is my entry in the 1st round of the Throwdown. The pictures were taken at my home though, need good lighting & tripod to take the pictures.

 In the Throwdown, there were a lot of awesome entries presented that day. Too bad I don't have the skill to take good photo's :(
Anyway, here's some of the entries that night.

So, in 2 weeks time we need to present the 2nd Troops for the Throwdown. I aim to send in another 5 Initiates & 2 Neophytes this time. Wish me luck :)

Updates and New Army

Before anything else, let me show you this...

First model painted in 2013 !!!!!

Yup, 1st model painted in the 'post'-apocalypse year hehehehehe. Just to test my color scheme on this bug as they are my first flying unit (or jump unit) in my list & I just want to see if the color scheme won't be affected by the wing membrane...and I felt satisfied with it. So, need to complete my gaunts before proceed with the gargoyles.

On the other hand...my hive fleet expansion MAY have to be delayed a bit. Our club have listed out their yearly plan for this year and good Lord, all the events arranged will be awesome :). Starting this month until May will be 40K Legio Army Throwdown....and I'll be joining as Black Templars Space Marine..OOooyyeeaaahhhh!!!! I do have plan for 2nd army & do want a SM army to fight the bugs, although initial plan that army will start at least middle of the year. But, since the plans have been laid out & so interesting to be missed, by next week I'll need to prepare a complete 1st troop. The aim will be 2k points  army by May 2013.
